Un tribunal literario is an amusing short story by Benito Pérez Galdós in which the protagonist submits a novel he has just written to the severe opinion of three literary critics, illustrious writers who embody different caricatured visions of literature: romanticism, realism, and classicism. With this work in which the fine irony of Pérez Galdós puts in front of the mirror important literary movements of his time, the author offers us a comical and fresh reflection on the path of the writer and the characters that populate the cultural life of any time.
