明代神魔小说，《西游记》三大续书之一，讲述了因当年唐僧所取经文晦涩难懂，遂由唐半偈二度西行，求取佛经真解的故事。唐半偈先后收服了花果山灵石孕化的二世石猴孙小圣，并在小圣的帮助下收服上古驮负河图出水的龙马以及猪一戒、沙河忍者龟沙弥。而后，师徒四人西行，一路先是打败哼哈二将，后又大战媚阴和尚，之后，凿通阴阳二气、大战文明天王，夺回"春秋笔"......取经之路，可谓艰险重重。全书共四十回，影响虽不如《西游记》，但在针砭时弊、笑骂文采方面颇与《西游记》相比肩。
