  • 早的藍本是宋人的《宣和遺事》，描寫了楊志賣刀、晁蓋結夥劫生辰綱和宋江殺閻婆惜等故事，對林沖、李逵、武松、魯智深等主要人物也都做了描寫。宋元之際，還有不少取材於水滸故事的話本。在元雜劇中，梁山英雄已由36人發展到108人。到了明朝，施耐庵把水滸故事進一步整理加工，在創作過程中，忠實地接受人民的觀點，這也是《水滸傳》能取得偉大成就的基礎。
